There is nothing like great motivational quotes to pull you up when you feel down.
This year, I have been on a self-improvement journey, trying to work hard on my business goals and to also improve my eating and fitness habits.
It all started with a couple of simple changes I made, like getting up at 6 am, working out in the morning and improving my diet. Using my journal, I managed to stay on top of things, and remain focused. Most days I feel great and I can keep up with everything, but there are also those days when I cannot bother to do a thing.
I guess we all feel uninspired at times, and demotivated. Something goes wrong in our life and that affects everything. And one thing is certain, if your thoughts are negative, you cannot work towards your goals and you cannot achieve anything.

On those days, I have been really enjoying reading motivational quotes. Along with self-improvement books, they help me regain my focus and motivation and they help me continue working hard for things I want.
I often print them and use them in my home office, or I write them down in my journal. Just glancing at them, changes my stream of thought to something positive.
So I created this post with the idea that if you feel demotivated, sad, in a rut, you can read them and instantly feel inspired.
6 Motivational Quotes to Increase Productivity
The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing. Walt Disney
It is important to act and not only to plan and talk. Only people who are proactive and use their opportunities have the greatest success in life and reach their goals. This goes for your personal life, as well as your business.

We all face this common problem. We think about different ideas, discuss them for years but we never really try to bring them to life. I have always wanted to live abroad, improve the marketing of my existing business, learn to delegate work better… Fast forward five years, and I am still thinking about all these things.
In the meantime, I got two little ones who make these goals even more difficult to reach.
So if you have been thinking about something for years, it is finally time to make it happen.
Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart. Roy T. Bennett
If you let fears govern your life, you will not achieve anything. You have to learn to say “Yes” to new opportunities in your life.
For every single thing in our life we want to achieve, our mind comes up with hundreds of reasons why we should not do it. We fear failure, ridicule, and it is a safe choice to simply say “No”.
But by pushing away our fears, we get to experience life and we get to do things we dream of doing.
My first offer to work as a freelancer was frightening. I had so many fears in my mind. What if I fail? What if I do a poor job? Will they laugh at me for asking so many questions? Am I throwing away all that money for buying a translation software I might not need?
But in the end, none of that happened and just by taking a chance I found my future career.
So if you fear that someone will laugh at you for starting a blog, or that no one will buy from your online store because there is so much competition, just ignore those doubts and fears. You have to start in order to see if that idea will work for you.
Just follow your dream.
If You Are Working On Something That You Really Care About, You Don’t Have To Be Pushed. The Vision Pulls You. Steve Jobs
When you start working on something that inspires you, you really do not need to push yourself. You feel the need to work on the idea until it succeeds.
This is how I became a freelancer, I got so excited and determined that I was prepared to work all day and night if I have to.
So think about your own ideas and goals. What idea have you been thinking about over the years but it never really came to life?
When you finally start working on it, you will realize how it all gets easier and easier as time passes.
So let the vision pull you.
You Are Never Too Old To Set Another Goal Or To Dream A New Dream. C.S. Lewis
This is really a great quote as many people give up on their dreams and goals because they think it is too late to try.
I am in my forties and I have just started writing a blog. Yes, of course, it would have been better if I started writing in my twenties. But nonetheless, I I think I have some useful tips to share with others.
Whatever happens to this blog, I know that this time is well invested and that I learned so much about Social Advertising, blogging tools, and design, and writing.
So do not think about your age, just start working towards your goal.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. Arthur Ash
Do not use circumstances that cannot be changed as excuses for not trying and working towards your goals. People often blame lack of resources, money, and support as the main reasons why they cannot do something.
Sometimes they blame the country they come from, family situation and other factors they cannot change. But the point is to simply accept life for what it is. And do the best you can in those circumstances.
Sometimes, when you lack resources, that can even motivate you further to succeed. If you keep coming up with excuses, you will spend your life regretting all the missed opportunities that you had.
Don’t wait. The time will never be just right. Napoleon Hill
There can always be a million reasons why you should wait. But that is again your fears working against you.
I waited for years to start this blog, but now I regret wasting so much time. And I am sure you also have similar ideas. Perhaps you would like to run an online store, sell on Etsy, be a freelance writer?
But you fear you are not good enough, you do not have enough time, or you should just wait for kids to be older.
Do not listen to these thoughts. Whatever you dream is, start working on it right away. Do not think about problems, just think about solutions.
I really enjoyed talking about these quotes as they cover some of the biggest issues we all face when we try to live the life we want and when we try to reach our goals.
Each of them carries an important message about the importance of courage, action, and resourcefulness.
